1. I just found out I’m pregnant, where can I get pregnancy information?
Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center (W2W), offers a variety of pregnancy-related services. If you just found out you are pregnant, your first step is having your pregnancy verified.
W2W offers medical-grade pregnancy tests at no cost to you. They also offer pregnancy information and education regarding your three legal options (parenting, placing for adoption, and termination) to equip you to make an informed and wise decision. Childbirth and parenting classes are also offered where you can earn diapers and formula as you learn and can provide you with a Proof of Pregnancy which you may need if you are planning to apply for Medicaid.
2. How will COVID-19 affect my pregnancy?
When you’re pregnant, you’d expect to have all kinds of questions and worries. But “What if I get coronavirus?” probably wasn’t one of them.
Based on the limited number of cases, experts don’t believe that the virus affects pregnant women more seriously. There is at this time no evidence that COVID-19 negatively affects the baby in the womb.
3. Where can I get a sonogram?
Woman to Woman offers sonograms on a case-by-case basis for the purpose of verifying a viable uterine pregnancy. Make an appointment with W2W to schedule your free medical grade pregnancy test, and talk with one of their nurses about the possibility of a sonogram.
4. Can I get an abortion in Denton?
Woman to Woman does not perform or refer for abortions. However, they provide the necessary information and education regarding abortion so you can make an informed decision. The state of Texas requires every woman pursuing an abortion be provided “A Woman’s Right To Know”, 24 hours before deciding to terminate her pregnancy. Currently, there is no place in Denton County where you can receive an elective abortion.
5. I’ve already decided to have an abortion. If Woman to Woman does not offer that service, why should I still make an appointment?

To answer this question, you first have to identify what pro-life means to you. Pro-life can’t just refer to babies. Pro-life must also look at the mother as well.
That being said, W2W is a life-affirming organization that affirms life at all stages – from conception to natural death. Although they do want their clients to choose life for their children, they understand that there will be times when she does not. Regardless of each woman’s choice, Woman to Woman is there to walk alongside her every step of the way and meeting her current needs. 7. I’ve decided to carry my pregnancy to term, but finances are tight. Where can I get diapers?
Diapers, as well as wipes and formula, are available at Woman to Woman. By participating in their education classes or mentoring programs, women are able to earn coupons and vouchers that can be redeemed for these practical needs at their resale store, Twice as Nice Resale. The store also offers a variety of maternity clothing, baby items, toys, and furniture to get your home ready for your new addition.
8. I don’t want to get pregnant again. Where can I get birth control?
Knowing that birth control affects each woman differently and is prescribed specifically to her health issues and needs, this is not a service Woman to Woman currently provides. Under the guidelines of the local OBGYN they operate under, they will provide you a list of physicians in the area who are able to discuss with you your options and specific needs.
